Poetry Magazine - Rejection
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read your manuscript. We have considered it carefully, but regret that we cannot keep the work.
Although we would like to send an individual response to everyone, and particularly to those who request comment, the small size of our staff prevents such correspondence.
Because of the enormous number of manuscripts we receive, we ask that you limit submissions to no more than four poems.
We appreciate your interest in Poetry.

Note on Rejection Times:
Pretty fast turn around given the magazine is in Chicago! The most consistently speedy process of all so far.

Wow, that is fast turnaround! It took me over half a year for my Hudson Review rejection. Still waiting on Kenyon...
Jude, I got that, too! But they're pretty fast -- which is good. It's become one of those rejection slips every poet has to have, I think. **smile**
Hugs,
Arlene
Hey, thanks for the way you report on the turnaround times. I appreciate the heads up. :-)
Just got my rejection from the Kenyon Review yesterday. I think that was about a month or so turnaround.
